Sheryl Cook, BSc(hons), FNLP

In the 1980’s I headed off to Otago University, New Zealand, to be a dietitian. After two years of the degree I changed course and graduated with a BSc(hons) in Food Science.

I always maintained my interest in nutrition and holistic health and twenty + years on, with a health wake up which Doctors weren't in a position to address, I turned to self healing using food and lifestyle. Amazed at what this could achieve I went back to study so I could learn more for my own journey and work with others to Rediscover their Wellness.

Integative and Functional Nutrition courses I have completed:

Functional Nutrition & Lifestyle Practitioner Certification with Holistic Nutrition Lab

(created by Andrea Nakayama, who is US based and I believe is one of the leading functional nutritionists)

Digestive Intensive with Holistic Nutrition Lab

Full Body System with Holistic Nutrition Lab
This course covered anatomy, physiology, function, food, supplement and lifestyle choices to best support the 6 body system beyond digestion:

  • Immunity
  • Urinary
  • Cardio
  • Endocrine
  • Nervous
  • Reproductive

In addition to the above, this course also provided me with tools (functional timeline / matrix & frameworks) which more effectively allow me to assist you in finding root cause and the body systems that need support.

Institute of Integrative Nutrition - certified Integrative Health Coach

I learned innovative coaching methods, practical lifestyle management techniques, and had lectures from world experts in health and wellness with varying dietary theories from gluten-free, Paleo, to raw, vegan, and macrobiotics, and everything in between.

My aim is to leave clients empowered and in control of their wellness journey.

My training has equipped me with extensive knowledge in holistic wellness and nutrition to support the body's functions (if these courses are of interest for your own study click here).

Drawing on this expertise, I work with people to help them make lifestyle changes and choose health-promoting ways that produce real and lasting results (client experiences). They develop a deeper understanding of food and lifestyle choices that work best for them, improving their energy, balance, health, and happiness.

While nutrition is hugely important, wellness is more than food. We will also talk about things beyond food, seeking to bring balance to important elements of your life such as well as career, daily movement, relationships and your passions in life. I will personally and carefully guide them to make simple, small changes that enable them to rediscover their best self.
